Citizenship Application

General Requirements for the Naturalization Process:
- Be a Permanent Resident.
- You must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1095 days as a Permanent Resident in the 5 years immediately preceding the application.
- If prior to your citizenship application you were in Canada with a Temporary Resident or Protected Person (Refugee) status you should know that the days you were in Canada can be counted as half a day for the purposes of your application (Max 365 days).
- Have filed your taxes if necessary for the last 3 years prior to your application.
- Pass a citizenship test.
- Have a minimum English level of 4 CLB (18 – 54 years old).
